Blackton Grange Wedding - Ceremony to Reception Room Turnarounds: Is It Worth It?

Ceremony to Reception Room Turnarounds Is It Worth It Blog

Couples are often looking for ways to get the most out of their styling investment — and rightly so. One of the most effective (and often overlooked) ways to do this is by repurposing decor pieces from your ceremony and reusing them in your reception. It’s a simple strategy that not only makes financial sense but also ensures your decor gets the spotlight it deserves all day long. At Caitlin & Carl’s beautiful wedding at Blackton Grange, we did exactly that — and the results were stunning.

From “I Do” to Dining at Blackton Grange: Making the Most of Your Decor

Caitlin & Carl hired my signature Canopy Trees to create a soft, natural feel for their ceremony space, pairing perfectly with my Everly Arch. These 10ft statement trees framed their vows beautifully and brought a sense of outdoor serenity to their indoor ceremony setting.

Rather than letting these trees fade into the background once the ceremony was over, I returned during the drinks reception to move the Canopy Trees into their reception space, where they were used to frame the couple’s head table. The result? An elegant focal point for their meal and speeches — and a seamless transition of style across both rooms.

Why Consider a Room Turnaround?

There are a few key reasons why repurposing your wedding decor is absolutely worth it:

Better Value – You’ve already paid for the decor, so why not use it twice?

Cohesive Styling – Reusing ceremony decor helps tie the whole day together visually.

Sustainable Choice – It’s a thoughtful way to reduce waste and unnecessary extras.

Maximise Impact – Statement pieces like arches, trees, or floral arrangements deserve to be admired beyond the ceremony.

How It Works

If you're planning a wedding in a venue with multiple adjoining rooms (like Blackton Grange), a turnaround is straightforward. Once your ceremony is over, I return during the transition time to carefully move and restyle your decor in its new setting.

This could include:

  • Moving arches behind the top table or cake table

  • Reusing aisle decor for table centrepieces or mantle styling

  • Repurposing statement props like neon signs, backdrops, or trees

Is It Right for Your Wedding?

If you're someone who loves thoughtful design and wants to make the most of what you’re already hiring, a decor turnaround could be the perfect option. It's an ideal solution for couples who want that elevated look — without doubling the cost.

And don’t worry about the logistics — I take care of everything on the day so you can relax and soak up every moment.
