A Dreamy First Visit to The Exchange 1856 for Steffi & Alex's Wedding

The Exchange 1856 Wedding Blog

Last month I had the absolute pleasure of setting up for a wedding at The Exchange 1856 in North Tyneside — and what a venue it is! With its elegant white-draped curtains, crisp walls, and the most incredible natural light pouring in through those tall windows, it’s a space that practically glows. This was also my first time working alongside the lovely Emma Jordan of Emma Jordan Weddings, a renowned North East wedding planner known for her effortlessly polished style.

For this wedding, I brought along my Luna Moon Frame, styled with soft white foliage to complement the serene palette of the venue. It sat beautifully against the backdrop of the ceremony space, framed by flowing curtains and bathed in daylight — a truly magical moment in the making.

To carry that dreamy, ethereal feel through the space, I added white chiffon chair drops, elegant floating candles in glass vases, with delicate preserved white foliage for their memory table. Even my all-white cast-iron postbox made an appearance, tying the whole look together with timeless, understated style.

It was such a joy to see how well my pieces worked in this versatile venue. The Exchange 1856 offers five unique spaces that couples can use throughout the day — each one full of character, using the full potential of the Victorian building. I especially loved The Loft, which is absolutely breathtaking as the light changes throughout the day — a photographer’s dream!

I’ll be sharing a full write-up and gallery once I receive the professional images, but for now, this dreamy white wedding has definitely left its mark on me. I can’t wait to be back at The Exchange 1856, and I hope it’s the first of many collaborations with Emma Jordan Weddings.
